There is a tiny YaCy RSS feeds aggregator, merging this forum’s, github issues+pr and mastodon’s (@orbiterlab and #yacy) latest posts, showing on a single page. Sort of day-to-day YaCy dashboard.
It even might be crawled periodically, to get the fresh news to the index.
Thats great but argh the colors! I also post on X, but thats not so easy to grep I guess.
yes, that’s what people say often :-))), i got crazy personal taste, 70’s cli inspired.
as a friend described: “newsfeed which makes your eyes bleed”
there is alternative B/W css, you can change that in Firefox in View > Page Style > black and white. But the change doesn’t persist, as I’m still resisting using cookies.
yes, they’re closing the access to API more and more. there used to be “nitter”, 3rd party frontend with rss, but doesn’t work anymore.
if you’re able to generate rss out of X yourself, I’m happy to add that.
Also, #yacy hashtag on Mastodon is alive, time to time, and it’d be nice to use it for the people, who follow it.
i tried viewing the page on a mac and now i know, what you’re talking about!
strangely, mac makes much much brighter colors. as i didn’t found a way how to make css colors consistent, tried to make a compromise, that it’s not too bright on mac and not too dark on linux/win neither. hope it’s more eye-friendly now.
