Can I crawl and have a huge index, sharing this with freeworld.
Then switch to a different network later on and keep the same index database?
Not sure. Under DATA/INDEX, there is a freeworld dir, maybe you can switch the dirs after switching the networks, but it’s just my guess.
Rather blackbox here, you can experiment, and post the results of the experiment…
My experience is you need to export and reimport the Index.
Once you change Neworks, the freeworld index, while the data is on hard drive it is inaccessible to YACY.
The only real answer I found, was to select Freeworld as your network and export your indexes.
Then change back to new network and import (not that I have had any luck with import yet. lol)
