New User Instructions

  1. After installing YaCy, Please run the following command to set up Java your system:
joinjava
  1. For Windows Users: The installer included a bundled Java option, Java wasn’t pre-installed, to install it manually by running:
java17.msi
  1. Already Have Java?
    If Java was already installed, you could skip the above steps and launch YaCy directly using:
start YaCy from the desktop shortcut or start menu.
