Is there a chatroom for Yacy users/enthusiasts?
I couldn’t find anything on Matrix or Discord.

AFAIK, there was some chat at gitter. Is that a frontend to matrix?
Main channel is this forum and Github Issues.
I personally prefer slower communication than chats, this little aggregator displays the forum, issues and orbiter’s mastodon on a single page, updated each 15 minutes.
There is also #yacy hashtag on mastodon.
