Is there any way too speed up search requests?

the same problem bothers me as well.
first, check the hardware:
- amount of RAM, not only available on the machine, but also set for yacy’s use
- SSD disks should help (according to people who use these, not my case)
then check the Performance Tuning docs page.
I have the same problem and I’m not quite sure how to debug that. There is something like time break-up of last search in /PerformanceSearch_p.html (System Status > Search Sequence), but I don’t understand that much, and not sure, how reliable is that. Maybe some log reading with raised loglevel could help - you can try.
If you got time to experiment, please share the results, as these may be usable for other people as well…
